Biography
Neanne began her musical journey at the age of 6. She was first taught by Ms Lili Orjekhoska who aided her in entering many concerts, competitions, acquiring several awards and scholarships. Early on, Neanne learned the importance of self-confidence as a musician.
After finishing her RCM education, she was accepted in the University of Toronto where she met her private instructor, Dr. Megan Chang. Neanne had the privilege to learn from many talented pianists all over the world, specializing in famous composers such as Beethoven and Franz Liszt. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Comprehensive Classical Music and pursued her passion of becoming a teacher.
Throughout the 7 years of teaching, Neanne found joy in working with young students and helping people. She strives to create a community where all can find the confidence in becoming great musicians as she believes attitude is the key to success. Neanne caters her teaching methods to a core belief that music should be approached thoughtfully yet specialized to the individual's perspective. She aims to help students find their potential in music and, most importantly, in themselves.
Studio Policy
-
The curriculum is tailored to each student’s needs, with a focus on maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment. Progress is tracked through regular updates, agenda notes, and open communication. Students are guided in setting goals and working toward them through clear, achievable milestones.
-
Students are expected to arrive on time and come prepared with their materials. Daily practice and a proper setup at home is essential for progress. This means a weighted keyboard with 88 keys and a built-in music stand at minimum. During lessons, students are asked to follow class etiquette and treat the studio space with care.
-
Tuition is charged on the 1st of each month through the Fons online portal via auto-payment. All payments are non-refundable. Payments received after the 7th will incur a $17 late fee, and repeated late payments may result in termination of enrollment. For students taking a Summer break, pre-enrollment is required to reserve a spot for the Fall. The studio offers a minimum of 44 lessons per year, and any weeks without lessons will be communicated in advance.
-
To receive credit for a makeup lesson, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The studio offers two makeup lessons per term. Missed makeup lessons will not be rescheduled. In special cases such as emergencies or prolonged illness, a virtual lesson may be offered. If a lesson is canceled by the teacher, it will not count against the student’s makeup credit and will simply be rescheduled.
-
To cancel tuition, the teacher must be notified at least two weeks in advance via email or message. If notice is not received by the deadline, the full tuition amount will be processed automatically, and students may attend all paid lessons for that month. Lessons will be discontinued starting the following month. Please note that all tuition payments are non-refundable.
-
From time to time, photos or short video clips of students may be taken during lessons or performances and shared on the studio website, social media platforms, or other promotional materials. These are used to celebrate student progress, share achievements, and offer inspiration to others. If you prefer not to have your child’s image or video used for any purpose, please notify the studio in writing.
